چکیده
Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Traffic Management (UTM) is an active research subject as its proposed applications are increasing. UTM aims to enable a variety of UAS operations, including package delivery, infrastructure inspection, and emergency missions. That creates the need for extensive on how incorporate such traffic, conventional methods operations used in Air (ATM) not suitable constrained urban airspace. This paper proposes compares several traffic capacity balancing developed system designed be highly dense, very low-level Three types location-based dynamic management techniques tested: street-based, grid-based, cluster-based. The systems tested by simulating within mixed (constrained open) airspace based city Vienna at five different densities. Results show that using local, area-based clustering improves safety, efficiency, metrics, especially when simulated or historical data used.

Airspace Complexity and its Application in Air Traffic Management
Predicted growth in air traffic and the desire for more user preferred routes in the National Airspace System (NAS) will impose additional demand on air traffic control and management systems. This demand can be met by alternate airspace configurations, modified traffic patterns, and staff reassignment. There is a need to understand the effect of changing airspace configurations and traffic pat...

The prediction of airspace complexity is of great interest for Air Traffic Management (ATM). Airspace complexity based on traffic situation prediction affects shortand medium-term trajectory management strategies and also affects the capacity of Air Traffic Control (ATC) operations. Our research group is developing a “difficulty index” of ATC to represent the degree of airspace complexity. The ...
متن کاملAirspace configuration using air traffic complexity metrics
Flow regulation is a critical process in air traffic management, ensuring that the incoming traffic does not exceed the ability of air traffic controllers to handle it safely and efficiently. Currently, the european Flow Management Positions (FMP) use flight counts and sector capacities to assess the traffic load and build predicted opening schemes. These schemes, made of predefined airspace co...
متن کاملAutonomous System for Air Traffic Control in Terminal Airspace
In this article we present recent work towards the development of an autonomous system that performs conflict resolution and arrival scheduling for aircraft in the terminal airspace around an airport. An autonomous air traffic control system is defined as a system that can safely solve the major traffic management problems currently handled by human controllers. It has the potential to handle h...

The paper presents a model, multi-agent architecture, implementation approach and software prototype of a multi-agent system for autonomous air traffic control within airport airspace capable of automatic detection of potential violations of safety policies by individual aircraft and consequent incident management. It features a model facilitating practical implementation of the concepts of ope...
